 About LTPP Products Online
LTPP Products Online has been rebuilt to take advantage of the latest internet technologies as well as new data from the LTPP program. The flagship of the site DataPave Online has been rebuilt from the ground up. Among the new features are the release of never before available LTPP Ancillary Information System (AIMS) videos and images from the LTPP sites. Not all videos and images are available at this time but more will be added in the future as the LTPP program releases them. The navigation map on the site has been updated using the latest Google mapping technologies. The new site has redeveloped the way users can view and extract data. A new data summary sheet view has been developed and enhanced to display as much information as possible related to the LTPP site experiment. The site has completely integrated the previous standalone application Distress Viewer and Analyzer (DiVA) into all the new features. DiVA is no longer a standalone product. All charts and graphs from DiVA can be seen within the integrated data sheet view. New export tools such as “Export by Topic” have been developed with the users in mind, making this the most talked about feature on the site. Users can now select multiple data elements and directly view the amount of available records even before a download is made! The site has also incorporated a new streamlined and efficient LTPP reference library system that is completely searchable using keywords. A new feature called LTPP IMS A-Z has been added. This is a great tool for beginners to get to know the information and data available from the LTPP program. Much like other sites on the web the LTPP IMS A-Z encapsulates topic and sub topics areas within the LTPP data, click on your preferred topic and get a listing of documents and data elements related to that topic. If you’ve reached the data you want click on the “Get Data” button and the site will take you to the “Export by Topic” page which will let you further refine your selection and get the data you want. The site has new and improved performance. It has gone from 3 Mbps to 6 Mbps bandwidth. This translates to faster download and access times for videos, images, and maps. Of course most of the user expected features such as table/field navigator, data dictionary, data codes, table export, SQL export, and export history are still available. The site now hosts the most up-to-date Standard Data Release (SDR) 25, with SDR 26 coming soon in the winter of 2011. Please take a close look at the site and help us by providing comments in the discussion group area of the site. Are you happy about the changes? Are you unhappy? Did we miss something? Would you like to see something else? Please let us know so we can improve the delivery of LTPP data to you, our users!
